The Hashim Khan Trust

The school was founded by the family of Professor Abdul Hashim Khan who was a renowned educationalist in Pakistan. Abdul Hashim served as Vice Chancellor of the University of Peshawar, the Quaid-e-Azam University and the People Open University (now the Allama Iqbal Open University). He also served as the Minister for Education and was the first Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in the erstwhile North West Frontier Province. The purpose was to continue his vision of empowering the under privileged through education.

His dedication to academics and the strong values instilled in his four children saw the forming of the Trust and school providing education to children with little other options beyond child labour and poverty in the region. Till now, the main financer was Dr. Tariq Khan, a renowned neurosurgeon and the youngest son of Professor Abdul Hashim Khan.
