The Hashim Khan Memorial School (HKMS) since its inception in 2004 has been education the underprivileged children of Kalyas and surrounding areas of Charsadda district. Up till now, 92 students have passed Class Seventh, the highest Grade, and have left the School for further studies.
Maximum of these students have got admission in reputable educational institutes of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province and has secured good position in their academics there as well. The quality education provided at the HKMS not only guides the children for a better future but also increase their quest for seeking further education. The students who somehow could not manage their tuition fee for further studies didn’t stop here but they rather join the local educational institutes for higher education. These students have also been witnessed securing top grades in their studies.
Students as Volunteers of PRCS
Apart from the curriculum, the students at Hashim Khan Memorial School (HKMS) are also encouraged for co-curricular activities and performing other humanitarian actions. The students of HKMS are enrolled as volunteers of Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), a National Society of Pakistan with a mission to “alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable”.
The students of highest grade along with the administration of the School have also received Basic First Aid training from PRCS. The purpose of the training was that these students may help themselves in case of emergency and if possible, assist others as well.
